Bloomfield is located half way between Cairns and the tip of the Cape York Peninsula.

The 2 hour journey from Cairns to Bloomfield is in itself a thrilling experience. It begins with the courtesy car which takes guests to the Hinterland Aviation Terminal. A 30 minute scenic flight follows the dazzling Queensland coastline over the fringing reefs and tiny islands of the Coral Sea

Landing on an Outback airstrip, guests are met by Bloomfield's friendly staff and escorted on the short trip by unsealed road to the banks of the Bloomfield River.

From here, the launch cruises downriver to the sea and across Weary Bay to Bloomfield Lodge, nestling almost unseen in the rainforest.
